The YMCA WA Staff Awards are held annually, and provide an important opportunity to recognise the achievements of all YMCA staff across the state. This year the YMCA WA Staff Awards were held by the picturesque banks of the Swan River at South of Perth Yacht Club on 26 October 2018, celebrating those who have gone above and beyond in servicing YMCA and local communities.
This recognition amongst YMCA services saw Kimberley Ransfield, Leisure and Recreation Manager – Pilbara awarded the honour of the Leadership Excellence Award at this year’s ceremony.
The title of Leadership Excellence marks a great significance as it recognises the work of a YMCA WA staff member who has over the past 12 months demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities through a commitment to excellence and innovation in their approach to work.
Although Kim was not present on the evening to accept the award, Ann-Marie Kelly, General Manager of the Pilbara at YMCA WA stood in to accept the award on her behalf.
“In the time I’ve known Kim, she’s managed to successfully oversee the operation of three YMCA facilities in the Pilbara, showing great care and appreciation towards making sure the guest experience at each centre is top notch.”
“Of course, great customer experience comes from our people. Kim is fantastic at leading her staff and making sure she is inclusive and attentive to their needs.” Ann-Marie said.
If you are participating in Port2Port at South Hedland Aquatic Centre, or excercising at Wanangkura Stadium in the coming weeks, make sure to congratulate Kim on her achievement!
